VEHICLE Consortium Meeting April 19th & 20th, 2023 (M48)


Novamont team hosted the final VEHICLE Consortium Meeting (CM), as the project is coming to an end on April 30th, at the Novamont HQ in the historic city of Novara in Northern Italy. 


On April 19th and 20th the VEHICLE partners gathered in Northern Italy for the final Consortium Meeting prior to the project's end at April 30th, 2023. The 2-day meeting was hosted by the Novamont team in their headquarters and R&D Center in Novara, Italy. Partners from the Netherlands (Avantium, Coordinator of VEHICLE), Spain (UVic/BETA), Estonia (Fibenol) and Finland (Kemira, MetGen and Spinverse). Representatives from Sweden (Ecohelix) joined the meeting virtually making all the VEHICLE partners present in the Consortium Meeting.


The two-day meeting included presentations and workshops on various topics related to the finalization of the project incl. documenting its key results and impacts, and preparing for the final reporting of the project. The partners also discussed additional possibilities for future collaboration on topics related to the work carried out during VEHICLE. 


Daniele Turati, R&D manager at Novamont, gave an extensive tour of Novamont's R&D Center for the VEHICLE partners higlighting the various research and development activites carried out at Novamont's Novara site for bioplastics development, among other key research and development areas.

For the very tasty Consortium Meeting lunches, hosts at Novamont partnered with Gèrico that is a Cooperative Social Enterprise based in Novara, that aims to reintegrate people in difficulty and the disadvantaged into the labour market, and to raise awareness of social and environmental issues.
