VEHICLE RP3 Review Meeting June 20th, 2023 (M50)
The Ecohelix team hosted the third and final VEHICLE Review Meeting (M50), at the site of their demonstration in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden with the VEHICLE Work Package Leaders (WPLs), CBE JU Project Officer and external Expert Reviewers all in attendance.
On Tue June 20th, 2023, the Ecohelix team - led by founder & CEO Dr. Petri Oinonen - expertly hosted the VEHICLE partners, CBE JU Project Officer and Expert Reviewers to a highly successful final review meeting of the 4-year project at the site of their demonstration in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.
The evening prior to the Review Meeting on June 19th, the VEHICLE partners, CBE JU Project Officer and the Expert Reviewers spent discussing the achievements of VEHICLE project in a more casual environment enjoying a wonderful dinner at a local seaside restaurant at Örnsköldsvik.
The Review Meeting on June 20th was attended in person by VEHICLE Work Package leaders representing partners Avantium (coordinator), Ecohelix, Kemira, Novamont, UVic/BETA and Spinverse. Representatives from MetGen and Fibenol took part in the hybrid meeting virtually.
The Review Meeting was expertly overseen by Ms. Siu-Ha Soo Tang, Grant Coordinator at Avantium, and the agenda of the meeting included an overview of VEHICLE, as well as more detailed looks at the work carried out during the project's Work Packages 1-7. The Review Meeting day was concluded by presenting the outlook, conclusions and the overall impact of the VEHICLE project as a whole.
During the Review Meeting the CBE JU Project Officer and the Expert Reviewers offered informative feedback and highly valuable comments to the presenters. All in all the feedback that the project received from the CBE JU and External Reviewers was highly positive, and it was very warmly accepted by the VEHICLE partners. Notes were carefully made on the possible improvements that the PO and the Reviewers higlighted, and these will be taken carefully into account as the partners embark on future EU projects to continue the excellent work of VEHICLE.
Also, on the day before the Review Meeting, on Mon June 19th, the Ecohelix team hosted a public relations seminar for their key local stakeholders in Örnsköldsvik with highly enjoyable and informative presentations from Kemira, Domsjö Fabriker and Ecohelix. The presentations gave great insight into VEHICLE as a whole, the demonstration unit that Ecohelix has built for the VEHICLE project at Domsjö Fabriker, and the special relationship that Kemira and Ecohelix have built during the project, and will continue to develop after the finalization of the project. Mr. Magnus Lundmark, Business Director of Cellulose at Domsjö Fabriker, also presented a comprehensive overview of Domsjö Fabriker's activities and detailed the fruitful relationship they have built together with Ecohelix.
